There were a total of 18 candidates in the presidential election, which was held on Saturday across the 36 states of the union and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In certain polling stations throughout multiple states, the election was delayed till Sunday due to violence, logistical issues, the theft of BVAS, and other issues.
Nonetheless, the 36 states and 774 local government districts in the country have largely determined the outcome of the election.
In a number of the states where the election has been called, the results at the ward, local government, and state levels have been finished.

The National Collation Center of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun collating the outcomes of the state-level presidential and National Assembly elections.
The collation, which was originally slated to begin at noon on Sunday, was delayed until 6 p.m. to give the Resident Electoral Officers time to deliver the results for each state.
Results are likely to be reported by Abuja, the federal capital territory, and the 36 federation states.
The INEC had required that voting end by noon in locations where the poll had been delayed for a number of reasons.
It was learned that the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party, LP are fiercely engaged in the presidential election.
These front-runners include Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peter Obi, and Atiku Abubakar.
