Death Speculations of Osinachi Nwachukwu

I’m sure that the news of Osinachi Nwachukwu’s death is no longer news. The popular gospel artist died on the 8th of April, 2022.

The stories surrounding her death have been brewing a lot of controversies. But most people that are very close to the deceased have mentioned domestic violence as the likely cause of death.

Medical reports state that she died as a result of blood clotting in her chest region. Family members and close associates have stated that they tried to call for separation.

But obviously, Osinachi chose her marriage over her life as it turns out.

This development has led to the arrest of her husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu. This article is going to enlighten you about the husband although little is known about him.

Peter Nwachukwu is a native of Omaboma, Nnewi South, Anambra State, South East of Nigeria. One of his native names is “Okekenwa”. Born 7th of July to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Nwachukwu. Peter Nwachukwu should be in his 50’s.

It is said that he met Osinachi at a choir ministration before they both married.  Mr. Peter Nwachukwu was a pastor at Dunamis International Gospel Church while his wife was a lead singer at the same church.

Family members have come out to say a lot regarding Peter Nwachukwu. Osinachi’s mom for instance said that the husband refused to allow any of her family access to Osinachi immediately after they got married. 

It wasn’t until 8 years later she saw her daughter. Also, the husband never informed any of the family members when the daughter was put to bed. She got news of it from outsiders. She wasn’t also aware of what was going on in the daughter’s marital home except for outsiders.

There was also an instance where Osinachi actually called her home seeking help. She explained everything she was going through at the hands of Peter Nwachukwu. Her elder sister, according to testimonies, said she went from Abuja to pick up Osinachi and take her back to her parents in Enugu. She was there for a year and three months.

Peter eventually came back apologizing and Osinachi also consented to follow him back. This was against her family’s advice as they wanted her to file for a divorce.

According to family members, they got to find out about the death of their daughter from an outsider. She was admitted to an undisclosed hospital while in a coma for 5 days.

Peter, on the other hand, has denied being responsible for the wife’s death. He claimed she was sick and he was busy transporting her to 5 different hospitals. Currently, the police are still running their investigation to determine the validity of that statement. They have asked Mr. Peter to provide the necessary evidence to back up his claim.

Pastor Paul Enenche’s Daughter on Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband

Meanwhile, Deborah Enenche, daughter of Pastor Paul Enenche, General Overseer of Dunamis International has vowed to ensure that justice is served. This is the same church where the deceased is a lead singer as already mentioned above.

Deborah Enenche can be quoted as saying, “I believe she not only passed on due to the compendium of physical hurt and pain, she died of a broken heart. I will personally do my best to ensure that the offending party in the equation is punished to the fullest extent of the law. He will not go scot-free.”

Mr. Nwachukwu Early Marriage

Nigerian Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, came up with some revealing information while at the residence of the deceased. She discovered that Peter Nwachukwu already had a wife whom he had already married.

This happened before his marriage to Osinachi but for some reason, he never let her know. This information was backed up by some photos which were given to Pauline by one of the children. 

The child also said that their mother suspected but just couldn’t lay her hands on some concrete evidence.  

In his words, explained,” One day, my father was away and forgot to lock up his room. So, I entered and a voice within told me to explore the room. Then, I saw the album and out of curiosity, I opened it and saw daddy’s old photographs. From the photos, I could see that my dad lived a wayward life.

So, I closed the album and kept it where daddy hid it. I couldn’t tell mummy or anyone because I was very afraid that daddy will kill me if he found out that I knew about the photos. Mummy once tried to search for things like this (album) in daddy’s room, but could not find anything.”

Osinachi’s family as usual is not aware of this development and in their words,” We never knew Nwachukwu was previously married to another woman. If ever we knew about it prior to now, we may not have allowed Osinachi to marry him. Osinachi must have been through a lot of pain which she, unfortunately, kept away from us.”

There is also the issue of Osinachi not having a bank account because all the money she made went into the man’s account. And he doesn’t tell her of the monies that come into the account.

This is confirmed by Victor Ativie who happens to be a Pastor of a certain church. 

In his words, “The man has killed her. A man without vision. Man, that is jobless. Man, that is lazy. She came to Benin to minister to us. When she came, she wanted to even stay till the next day but the pressure was too much. The man, the way he discusses money with you. He is too carnal. 

I know that if a preacher comes, you should bless the person but you see, I don’t like when a thing is too physical.

The way the man was discussing money will even make you hate the woman’s gift but the woman carries something that is too deep that you cannot ignore.

After they had negotiated and we have paid fully, the woman came, ministered, and left. The evening after she left, she called me and said ‘Sir, did you send any love offering?

We sent it one month before she came but he didn’t tell the woman. Evil man. He didn’t tell the woman that we have sent anything. We sent it one month before she came.”

Just recently, the lawyer in charge of Osinachi’s case was at the interrogation of Mr. Peter Nwachukwu in the police station. According to her eye-witness report, Mr. Nwachukwu holds his wife down and makes his children hit and stomp on Osinachi.
