The 2020 recruitment exercise was meant for candidates between the age of 18 to 25 who wish to apply for the position of constables.

However, the basic criteria for application are that candidates who possess the basic SSCE certificate and another certificate as an additional certificate.

Three days after the application portal was close, candidates who applied for the 2020 recruitment were encouraged to and invited for a physical screening which took place in all states of the federation.

For invited candidates, the screening was based on schedule and according to the various local governments in the states.

For some states, each day had more than two Local Government Areas for screening while some states with less local Government had only a few L.GA to attend to.

The physical screening did not take any format but all candidates that applied were invited for the screening exercise and given the necessary training.

Candidates who appeared for the screening exercise were to appear with white and white vest accordingly

It became necessary that applicants were to apply with their duly signed confirmation slip as well as acknowledgement slip/ Guarantors dully filled by the guarantors required.

Those who showed up for the physical screening were screened and further given the next recruitment information.

NPF Physical Screening 2020

The just-concluded Nigerian Police Force Screening for physical fitness took a different format, unlike other years where candidates are first shortlisted before given the required physical/Fitness training.  However,  the exercise went on smoothly across the states with no causalities.

2020 NPF physical screening was done according to the different local Government which candidates applied for and each local Government Area had a screening day.

Candidates were to appear in white up and down with white socks and completed a running distance specified by the Screening centres.
